Authentic Moroccan flavors right here at Café Tanja! The couscous was light and fluffy, served with perfectly cooked vegetables and tender meat just like back home. The chicken with preserved lemon and olives was incredibly flavorful, tangy, and juicy. I also tried the meat with prunes, and it was beautifully sweet and savory, with tender slow-cooked meat falling apart in the sauce. Their msemen was fresh, warm, and flaky perfect to dip in honey or just enjoy with tea. And speaking of tea, the Moroccan mint tea was the real deal sweet, aromatic, and poured the traditional way. It felt like a piece of Morocco in every bite. Great atmosphere and friendly service. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

An absolute North African gem in Sydney ! Everything here is bursting with flavor from the tender lamb tagine to the incredible sandwiches that taste just like home. The atmosphere is warm, authentic, and full of soul. Special mention to the Hamida sandwich with homemade bread and the Mergez one with the secret blend of spices that makes it unforgettable. The overall atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and I really appreciated the genuine hospitality. The food presentation and cold drinks could be improved, but the authenticity of the dishes truly stood out. I’ll definitely be back for another visit.

This place is such a gem! Sana and her wonderful team make you feel like you’ve stepped into their home with their warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and the kind of care that’s rare to find. The food and drinks are absolutely delicious, especially their Hatay (my fav mint tea in town!!) full of flavour and clearly made with love. Everything is homemade (try their bread ), served with thoughtful touches and great music in the background. It honestly feels like visiting a dear friend’s house where you’re treated like family. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly heartwarming North African dining experience!
